Living in the Flow of Abundance

Did you know that abundance is always an option?? It’s constantly there.

You might be like “Okay, what does that even mean?”  Hear me out.  It is an important concept that I’m continually working on grasping!  Abundance is the feeling of plenty.  We live in a society that encourages us we always need more, no matter what.  And that who we are, isn’t good enough.  No matter what.  This sends us into a spiral of always wanting to be more, more, more, and not celebrating the beauty of what is right in front of us.  Instead of buying into this scarcity, the solution is to choose abundance.  To remember that you are ALWAYS enough, no matter who or what tells you otherwise.  And in those moments where you forget that?  Here are some valuable tools!

1- Practice gratitude daily

I know I preach about this often, but I believe it is truly one of the best things you can do to re-ground and bring it back to the present!  Nothing screams abundance like listing all that you have.  It doesn’t have to be a project, you don’t even need to write it down (though I do love a good journal sesh).  Just start listing off things that you are grateful for.  Start small. Start big.  Once you get going, you might find there’s a whole lot more than you realized!  I try  to do this especially on rough days, where my mind is spiraling out of control, when I feel lingering moments of self doubt, or when I feel like nothing is going right.  Think of what you are grateful for in your life, and think of what you are grateful for in YOURSELF.  Your strong bod, your cooking skills, your courage, your great butt.  Seriously, honor the abundance existing right in front of you.  This has the power to change your mood in an instant!

2- Turn up the trust

Challenging, yet highly effective.  Trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be, doing exactly what you are meant to be doing.  God, The Universe, whatever higher power you turn to, will bring you the right people, things, experiences, etc. at the right time.  Easier said than done, I know.  But try creating a “trust box”.  Write down your worries and desires and fold them up and drop them into a box.  This helps us release the need to control and fear and turn our concerns over to our Higher Power. Perfectttt activity for us somewhat control freaks (ME).

3- Live as if

First step in manifesting.  Ask yourself “ If I was already abundant, how would I show up in the world?”  “If I was a successful ___, how would I feel?”  “If I lived ___ how would I feel?”  Then, start embodying that feeling and acting as if that’s exactly what is happening!

It sounds crazy, I know.   BUT, it brings you to a mindset of abundance.  Of plentitude.  And I truly believe that abundance brings us more abundance!  Mindset is EVERYTHING.  We can’t necessarily control what is happening around us, but we can turn it around in our mind and come from the flow of abundance instead.
